Since taking over Blind Freddy Electric Bikes in November 2019, it has been our mission to expand the range of bikes we can offer those living with restricted mobility or disabilities.

Explore the differences between hub drive and mid drive ebike motors. Hub drive motors are located in either the front or rear wheel hub, controlled by pedal assist sensors or torque sensors. Mid drive motors are built into the frame between the pedal cranks, responding to pedal force, speed, and cadence. Mid drives are typically more expensive but offer a more natural ride feel, while hub drives are simpler and more affordable.
