All goods supplied by everyBody eBikes are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. Refer elsewhere on this website for detailed warranty terms. A staff member will assist you with any return or repair. This may include inspecting the goods, arranging for the goods to be sent for repair, or providing you with a replacement. Goods must be returned within the manufacturer’s warranty period.
Goods returned for repair will be assessed and/or repaired within a reasonable time. You may be provided with an indicative repair time, which time may vary due to reasons beyond ours or the repairer’s reasonable control, such as part availability and incorrect fault description. You may be required to pay labour, assessment and/or freight fees, such as where goods are assessed to have been damaged by misuse or accident, or where your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any manufacturer’s warranty do not apply. We may provide you with an indicative fee, this fee may vary due to reasons beyond our control.
If any goods that you return are capable of retaining user generated data such as files stored on a hard drive, telephone numbers stored on a mobile phone and songs stored on a portable media player, the replacement or repair of the goods may result in loss of the data. In these circumstances, we recommend you back up data to prevent data loss, and remove sensitive or confidential data, as a party assessing and/or repairing your goods may be required to view data in the course of carrying out the assessment. We will not be responsible for any data loss. In some circumstances, goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.

Warranty or repair requests must be accompanied by one of the following proof of purchase documents:
GOODS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT
If you have selected to purchase insurance for products delivered and any of the goods arrive damaged, please contact our store as soon as possible. Damaged goods must be returned in the condition received by you with all original packaging, accessories and/or manuals. Notification of damage must be made to Blind Freddy Electric Bikes/everyBody eBikes within 48 hours of receipt of the goods else freight carrier insurance may be voided. Any delay in notifying Blind Freddy Electric Bikes/everyBody eBikes of the incurred damage may result in Blind Freddy Electric Bikes/everyBody eBikes being unable to replace the damaged goods without charge. Damage must be reported to the freight company at the time of receipt and we strongly recommend taking photographic evidence of the damage at the time. Do not sign acceptance of damaged goods else you may waive your right for a replacement.
Where everyBody eBikes considers the goods to have breached a consumer guarantee, any freight costs to return the goods to everyBody eBikes will be refunded after an assessment of the goods. Freight charges for International shipment is not covered by this policy. Delivery to request an exchange are always the responsibility of the purchaser.
everyBody eBikes is committed to protecting your privacy. You may be asked to present photo identification so that we can record your name, identification type, identification number and expiry date and verify your signature. Acceptable identification must also include your full name with a future expiry date. Information collected will be securely stored for a reasonable period of time. It may be used for fraud protection activities and for the purpose of Blind Freddy Electric Bikes/everyBody eBikes research and analysis. It may be disclosed to state and territory departments upon request, as required by law.
This warranty is provided by The Virtual GIS Group Pty Ltd ABN 66 075 488 087 trading as everyBody eBikes (formerly known as Blind Freddy Electric Bikes) for all items sold after 12th November 2019.
Our registered business is in Lutwyche and our showroom and workshop is located at 488 Lutwyche Road QLD 4030.
EveryBody eBikes provides this warranty against manufacturing and material defects from usage which would be considered normal recreational applications. Our bikes are not covered for non-standard recreational use, for commercial use or for use carrying loads over the stated maximum load which is for rider and any items being carried on the bike. Exceeding the maximum load or tampering with the electrical performance will automatically void warranty.

Warranty is for parts only and does not include labour or shipping /delivery/pickup costs associated with repair.
Some items are not warrantable and any misuse or irresponsible use of the equipment will void your warranty. Warranty is not transferable and is offered to the first owner only. Proof of purchase is required to confirm ownership. Warranty does not cover labour or cost to ship or deliver products to BFeBikes for review.
everyBody eBikes Warranty conditions
At the discretion of EveryBody eBikes, components may need to be returned for testing and inspection. Prior approval for repair must be gained by EveryBody eBikes before repair is undertaken. Repair must be carried out by EveryBody eBikes authorised repairer or an agent nominated by EveryBody eBikes. Transport charges will apply to replaced or repaired product if shipping is required in either direction.
Warranty is not transferable. Warranty period does not recommence from date of product replacement or repair. EveryBody eBikes fully complies to terms and conditions for consumer goods under Australian consumer law. Please keep your original invoice to confirm date of purchase. Warranty is for replacement parts only. Labour & shipping costs for repair are excluded from warranty.
Mechanical warranty: Frame is warranted to be free of manufacturing and material defects for 2 years from sales invoice when used in accordance with the stated conditions, unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer/supplier.
Drive train, Wheels, Steering and General items: The following items carry a two-year warranty for manufacturing and material defects from purchase date:
Electrical warranty: Battery warranty is for full replacement within the first one to two years depending on the model selected. We advise owners to refer to our guide to optimising performance of ebike batteries when charging and managing the battery life. A paper copy of this is supplied to all customers at the time of purchase and is available online. A digital copy can be supplied upon request.
Please note that performance of battery and motor will reduce as the weight of rider and any items being carried approach the maximum stated load for the bike. This is not considered a fault and is purely due to the physics of power and load. Additionally, a reduction of 30% capacity within 12 months is not considered a fault and is within stated guidelines for lithium-ion batteries. Please note heavier loads, including cargo and/or passengers, rider weight, rider style (use of power levels) and local terrain all contribute to battery performance and lower achieved distances over time are expected and will reflect the individual use of the bike. Changes in performance unless clearly resulting from a fault are not warrantable.
Motor, charger, controller and display claims require the item to be returned for inspection and testing for assessment as to the cause of the issue prior to consideration for replacement or repair. Note, overloading of the bike above the recommended levels stated by the frame supplier will result in voiding of the warranty for both the mechanical and electrical components. everyBody eBikes is not responsible for the use or misuse of the application of any products supplied as this remains the sole responsibility of the owner. Always operate the bike/trike within the guidelines of the original supplier of the frame and/or electric conversion kit supplier.
Shimano, Tern and Bosch components: Shimano, Tern and Bosch components carry their own worldwide warranty for manufacturing and material defects only. Please note, multi-national companies all require supply of photos and software reporting in advance of assessment for warranty eligibility. Please also note any tampering with the electrical system to exceed EN15194 standards will immediately void your warranty claims.
Exclusions
Warranty does not cover the use of any product sold by everyBody eBikes for a purpose other than general private recreation and/or normal community access/transportation. Exclusions include damage from water ingress, salt water/sea spray damage, impact from dust, soil or mud, physical damage from impacts or dropping. Exclusions to the electrical system as a result of incorrect or inappropriate charging (refer to battery maintenance guidelines), from power surge or tampering are all excluded from this warranty cover.
Damage resulting from collision, rough handling, over-loading above the recommended weight limit or misuse through use for a purpose which is not considered to be for recreation or community/transport purposes is not covered under warranty.
Other components are considered consumables and are not covered by warranty:
Wear and Tear Exclusions: Tyres, tubes, valves, lights, brake and gear cables, chain and sprockets, handlebar grips, brake pads.
Usage Exclusions/Restrictions: Commercial use without prior written approval by EveryBody eBikes, stunting and jumping, use where the gross weight exceeds manufacturers stated weight limits including where used for cargo, passengers and/or luggage, third party modifications, fitting of non-genuine spare parts, use of non-genuine EveryBody eBikes battery charger, any labour costs associated with repair or replacement of warranted items or any shipping costs to get items to/from EveryBody eBikes workshop location. Please note, any tampering with the electric system voids warranty.
