Keep moving, keep recovering, and get back to riding sooner — the ROM-Flex is designed to help riders maintain mobility during rehabilitation without giving up their bike.
The ROM-Flex is an adaptive cycling aid developed for riders recovering from knee surgery, ACL reconstruction, joint replacement procedures, or other conditions that limit knee flexion. Designed for use on both exercise bikes and regular or electric bicycles, it modifies the pedalling motion on one side of the bike, allowing riders to complete a full pedal rotation with significantly less knee bend while maintaining proper leg extension and riding position.
Unlike a traditional crank shortener, the ROM-Flex is specifically engineered to reduce the amount of knee flexion required at the top of the pedal stroke while preserving a natural cycling posture. The system is adjustable from approximately 70° to 110° of knee flexion, allowing riders to gradually increase their range of motion as rehabilitation progresses. This makes it suitable for both short-term recovery and long-term mobility support where flexibility remains permanently restricted.
Manufactured from high-quality anodised aluminium, the ROM-Flex mounts directly to the existing crank arm and can be fitted to most exercise bikes, bicycles, and e-bikes. It can be installed temporarily during recovery or permanently for riders with ongoing mobility limitations.
