Knog Scout Bike Alarm

The Knog Scout Bike Alarm & Finder is a lightweight security device that combines a motion-sensitive alarm with Apple Find My tracking, giving riders both immediate deterrence and long-range recovery capability. Once armed, the built-in 85dB alarm activates when movement is detected, helping discourage theft attempts while simultaneously sending alerts to your phone when within Bluetooth range. If a bike is taken out of range, its location can be tracked using Apple’s global Find My network, allowing for recovery support if the bike is moved elsewhere.

Designed to mount discreetly under a bottle cage, the Scout uses tamper-proof screws and a low-profile form factor so it remains hidden from casual view. It is USB-C rechargeable, IP66 water resistant, and built for long battery life (typically several months depending on usage). The system is controlled through the Knog app, where users can arm/disarm the alarm and monitor battery status.

While it doesn’t provide real-time GPS tracking, it is widely used as a “set-and-forget” security layer for commuting, café stops, and short-term parking scenarios where opportunistic theft is the main risk.
