A wonderfulĀ story ā Matty C from GrangeĀ
Before Matty received his e-trike, we managed a few flat bike paths andĀ ridesĀ up to about 10km on a traditional adult trike.Ā
His BF Trojan e-trikeĀ (āThe Beastā we like to call it!)Ā has just seen us complete a 25km round trip from home to be part of the 2024 Tour De Brisbane Family Ride. We think he had some more in the tankĀ too!Ā
Of course, his bike is more than a form of transport. AsĀ it is for most of us. This one allowed himĀ the chanceĀ to get involved, as thousands of others did, like anyone else. Itās another adaptation in his life to normalise what isĀ normalĀ to everyone else.Ā ItĀ seemsĀ to always draw fabulous commentsĀ too, which fills him with pride.
Although Matty is unable to speak, the smile on his face says it all.āÆ He loves the stand-out colour, fat go-anywhere tyres and the fact that a puddle always ends up with dad getting wet when riding behind!Ā
We appreciated being able ā...to test-ride a couple of options to make the right choice. This oneās a keeperĀ andĀ we look forward to exploring some rail trails next and the options to rideĀ further,Ā and more diverseĀ terrain,Ā than we ever thought possible.āĀ
