Putting People & Planet FirstÂ
For the second year running, Everybody eBikes has been People & Planet First verified, joining a global collective of enterprises that prioritise people and planet over profit.Â
At Everybody eBikes, this isn’t just a label, it’s a way of operating every day. From providing adaptive bikes and trikes to supporting communities and riders of all abilities, we aim to make cycling accessible for everyone.Â
Inclusive Ride Support: MS QLD Brissie to the BayÂ
For the last few years, we’ve enabled people with lived experience of MS and other neurological conditions to actively participate in the MS Queensland Brissie to the Bay Ride.Â
- We provide adaptive tricycles and bikes for riders and support workers or family members.
- Each year, riders are supported with sit-down and upright tricycles, adapted as needed for their individual needs. This year, this included people with brain injuries, stroke survivors, MS, and CP.
- We offer a central support point, shadowing by able-bodied riders if needed, and all team members wear the same t-shirt, proudly promoting the Inclusive Ride Team.
- Our team donates time leading up to and during the event to ensure the most appropriate equipment is available.Â
Abilities Unleashed Come & Try DaysÂ
EveryBody eBikes also supports Abilities Unleashed events, organised by Disability Sports Australia and Sporting Wheelies, to showcase between 4 and 6 different sports suited to people with disability. Â
Attracting students from across the age groups in local special schools as well as members of the public, the events are run across Australia. Â
- With the upcoming Olympics in Queensland, EveryBody eBikes wanted to bring adaptive bikes and trikes to this event to highlight what can be achieved by people living with disabilities on 2 or 3 wheels when the best available and appropriate equipment if made available.Â
- We have taken a wide range of adaptive bikes and trikes to Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba and Brisbane, enabling thousands of school aged children to try adaptive bikes and trikes in a safe, supervised environment.Â
We hope our participation, supported by the Queensland Government’s Bicycle Riding Encouragement Program grant and the Dept of Social Impact grant programs, meant all ages and all abilities could try first-hand a range of equipment not always available in the regions and the joy shared with these attendees may lead to them considering bike riding for their future. Â
Community-Focused Come & Try DaysÂ
Throughout 2025, EveryBody eBikes ran a number of free community-focused Come & Try Days across Queensland:Â
- Locations included Bribie Island, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, and Hervey Bay.
- Participants included local U3A groups, Bike User Groups (BUGs), Over 50s resorts, and special interest groups.
- We provided curated bikes and trikes, advertised events, and actively participated, all without charge.Â
Northern Rivers Rail Trail Disability Awareness TrainingÂ
We were invited to the Disability Awareness Training coordinated by Tweed Shire Council for stakeholders operating on the NRRT:Â
- Our team attended and provided adaptive trikes so other operators could experience riding first-hand.
- We shared insights on making trails inclusive and accessible for all riders.
- We participated in the official opening of the inclusive rider facilities on the NRRT with local dignitaries and Council members in November 2025, offering a selection of adaptive trikes to be test-ridden by attendees.Â
Special Schools Adaptive Trike DaysÂ
EveryBody eBikes also partners with Department of Education special schools to provide adaptive trikes for students:Â
- Events included the Narbethong Come & Try session, Mackay District Special School Fete, and the Darling Point Special School Annual Fun Run Day.
- Students who are unable to walk or run can actively participate by riding adaptive trikes.
- We supply time, expertise, and specialist equipment at no charge to ensure accessibility.Â
Riding for ImpactÂ
Being a social enterprise means EveryBody eBikes puts people, planet, and community first. Whether through adaptive cycling, community events, or educational programs, we’re proud to help riders of all abilities experience the joy and freedom of riding!Â
